An Experienced Team
The 49º North Mountain Resort project is being developed by an experienced multi-disciplinary team of managers, planners, and designers. The team has a passion for specialty real estate investment projects in the Pacific Northwest region. The team excels at identifying unique properties with great potential, and working with developers and land owners to plan and execute developments that unlock the true value of those properties.
Managing the project is John Eminger. As president and owner of Chewelah Basin Ski Corporation (CBSC), known as 49º North Ski Resort since 1996, Mr. Eminger has extensive experience in resort development. From administration to oversight of multiple resort projects, John learned the resort and development profession from an early age as his family had strong ties with development in Nevada. Under his leadership and with a keen ability to appraise talented individuals, CBSC is not only a regional leader in ski resort industry, but is built to have a long-term influence in the industry.
Providing design guidance for the project is William Grimes. As president and founder of Studio Cascade, Mr. Grimes is assisting with master planning and architectural design of the project. During his 26 years of experience, he has focused primarily on public sector development projects and has developed extensive expertise in the master planning and design of residential, mixed-use commercial, and destination resort projects.
Eric Bakken, has been Vice President and Board Member of Chewelah Basin Ski Corporation since 1996. He has implemented all the corporations resort projects. His experience in the ski industry is invaluable when addressing infrastructure and ski in/out residential units and the interface with a complex winter resort structure.
Mike Steinbach, President of Steinbach Construction Co., Inc. and Construction Manager for the Project has developed and constructed hundreds of multi-family and luxury condominium units throughout the Northwest.
