Part Time & Full Time Positions Available

  • Lift Operators - Full Time and Part Time Positions Available. Must complete and pass the Lift Operator training course after being selected for possible hiring. Assist guest with loading and unloading from chair lifts. Maintain ramps and keep chairs clean. Good customer service skills are a must.
     
  • Line Cooks & Cafe Attendants - Valid Washington State Health Card required. Previous cooking experience preferred. Must be 16 years old. Prepare food and serve guests in the Quick Turn Cafe. Stock supplies as needed and keep an accurate daily cash count. Previous cooking experience preferred.
     
  • Alpine Shop Sales Staff - Will be required to obtain a valid WA State Health Card. Cash handling, retail and barista experience preferred.
     
  • Terrain Park Hand Crew - Must have an understanding of terrain features, their design and use. Construction and maintenance of terrain features, coordination with grooming department and supervisors, maintenance of the terrain park shack- supplies, tools, garbage removal, and security, set-up and tear-down of audio equipment each day, daily record keeping of work and conditions, opening and closing of park and features.   • Ticket Office - Cash handling and computer service experience preferred. 10-Key experience preferred. Work quickly in a fast paced environment. Stock supplies as needed and keep an accurate daily cash count. Answer customers questions with the most up to date information about 49° North. Good customer service skills and the ability to maintain good communication/relations with multiple departments are a must.

  • Ski/Snowboard Instructors - We are adding to our Ski & Snowboard School staff this season and we are looking for instructors for all ability levels. Teach a little or a lot, whatever works with your main job and your lifestyle, there are many opportunities available. We are looking for fast, friendly, and flexible people that are looking to share their passion for snow sports with guests of all ages.   • Ski & Snowboard School Front Office Staff - Part time and full time positions available. Duties include scheduling, sales, customer service, cash handling and sharing your love of Snowsports and the mountain with all who come to visit. Send application to skischool@ski49n.com
     
  • Part time coaches for the Forty Nine Degrees North Alpine Ski Team (FAST): The FAST program’s primary focus is making skiing fun while building skills, confidence, independence, and responsibility. FAST offers everything from holiday camp programs to season long training programs for youth athletes working toward elite racing. The majority of our athletes compete in local Youth Ski League (YSL) races, but we also offer U14 and U16 programs. We are hiring coaches at all levels, but with a focus on working with kids under 12. Racing and/or coaching experience preferred, but not required. PSIA or USSA teaching/coaching certifications are a plus. Benefits include discounted Season Pass and employee discounts, including food, retail shop, and rental/tuning shop services. Exchange benefits for free/discounted tickets at other resorts are also available. Work schedule is primarily weekends and holidays. Must be able to pass a background check.   • FAST Head Coach, with the potential to move into a Program Director role. In addition to regular coaching duties, this position would include organizing training programs, training and supervising coaches, communicating to athletes and parents, coordinating staffing for events both home and away, and communicating with Mountain Operations for training spaces, grooming needs, etc. USSA Level 200 certification or PSIA Level II certification with prior race experience preferred. Schedule is primarily weekends with occasional organizational/administrative work mid-week. Must be able to pass a background check. We are flexible when it comes to scheduling.  Even if you are only available a few days a week, we are always in need of extra help on Weekends and Holidays!  All employees are eligible for a discounted season pass, as well as other discounts on the mountain. 49° North employees are also eligible to take advantage of Ski Exchange Programs, which allow ski area employees to ski or ride for free or a greatly reduced rate at participating areas. This is a mountain environment, so keep in mind that conditions can range from blizzard to warm sunshine.
